Ghandruk Hiking

Ghandruk village is located in Kaski district. It is also one of the most exciting trekking trail of Nepal. It is a short trip but more interesting and joyful trek. All the nature lover who wants to explore but has a short holiday, ypu can join us for trek and it is fit for all type of people. Ghandruk family trek also known by stone vilage, Konda village, Gandrung village is the most popular for cultural, geographical variety stone roof built villages spectacular views of mountains of Annapurna including Machapuchare and Himchuli. Views of sunrise and sunset is wonderful from Ghandruk.

Our Ghandruk trekking starts from Kathmandu. After sight seeing all places enlisted in world heritage site, you will head to Pokhara, which is most chilled out lakeside city. we move out to phedi, rest a while and trekking starts. we reach our destination Ghandruk via. Tolta, enjoy gurung’s culture, dance, tradition and trek back to Pokhara after Nayapul. we head back to Kathmandu for departure and give you mesmerizing views of mountain range.

Day 1: Arrival day

Our  representative will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to 3 Star hotel. Our office guide will explain the detailed procedure of our trip. You will then rest and stay overnight.

Day 2: Sightseeing around UNESCO listed world heritage sites around Kathmandu valley

On this day, we visit UNESCO listed world heritage sites including holy Pashupatinath Temple which is biggest pilgrimage site for hindus, Boudhanath Stupa & Swayambhunath which are pilgrimage site for Buddhist and Kathmandu Durbar Square which is full of arts and culture with wood carving on it. We move back to hotel for rest and overnight.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara, 5-6 hours of time, 204 km drive

After breakfast, our office staff will pick you up from hotel and drive you to Pokhara by private vehicle service. The journey is long covering 204 km distance in 6-7 hours travel time. We drop you to the hotel for rest. You can roam nearby nearby hotel at evening at your will. Today’s log ends with overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Drive to Birethanti, 2 hours drive and trek to Ghandruk, 5 hours trek

After breakfast, Drive to Birethanti 45 kms and start the trek along the stream. It is a beautiful but steep walk passing by waterfalls and Magar villages to the Ghandrung. Stay overnight over there with the beautiful views of Ghandrung.

Day 5: Trek to Pothana, 6 hours trekv

After having breakfast, we descent down through stone steps of Ghandruk village past several tea houses. After crossing a stream on a suspension bridge, the trail drops in to the Modi Khola valley and reaches Landruk-Tolka and ascent couple of hour to Pothana.

Day 6: Trek back to Dhampus, Phedi and drive to Pokhara

We start trekking after breakfast. The trail follows through rhododendron forest before arriving Dhampus, it is inhabited by a mix of people: Gurung, Brahmin, Magar communities. From here trail is mostly downhill through forest to Phedi. From here, it takes only 30 minutes drive to reach Pokhara.

Day 7: Drive back to Kathmandu, 204 km, 5-6 hours drive

After breakfast, we check out from hotel and return back to Kathmandu covering 204 km distance in 5-6 hours travel time. After arriving to Kathmandu, we then stay at hotel for rest and overnight. You can also enjoy doing some last minute shopping around Thamel area.

Day 8: Departure day

Today is departure day. Our representative will pick you up from hotel and drop you to the Tribhuwan International Airport for departure leaving you memorable memory of our trip.
