Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be displaying an Ace the Himalaya signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: A full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley

The very next morning, after breakfast you will be taken for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit the center of pilgrimage Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath might make you feel calm and peace and visit Patan the city of fine arts and Durbar Square is full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments. On the journey back to the hotel, you can explore the local areas, gullies, and lifestyle. After your dinner, you can perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the famous streets like Thamel and Durbarmarg. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu – Lukla (2,642 m /8,668 ft) – Phakding (2,562 m /8,700 ft), 35 min flight, ~8 km, 3-4 hrs trek

After breakfast, transfer to the Domestic Airport for the Trans Himalayan flight and dramatic landing on the hillside at Lukla: gateway to the Khumbu/Everest region. Meet your local porters and walk downhill to the Sherpa settlement of Cheplung. The trail then follows the side of the Dudh Koshi Valley before ascending to Ghat (2,530m/8,350ft). Another gentle hour leads up to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding at Lodge.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m /11283 ft) Duration: 6 hours

On this day, we will trek to Namche Bazaar, we follow the Dudh Koshi climbing from side to side with Himalayan pine and cedar trees before reaching the capital set and trading post of Everest Region-Namche Bazaar. Namche is actually famous for a historic trading post where Tibetans and Nepalese traders exchange dried meat, salt, and textiles. Here, you can also visit local markets and buy traditional crafts. The first sights of Everest and other adjoining peaks come into view. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 5: A rest day at Namche bazaar

Today is rest day. You will spend your entire day in Namche by taking complete rest as acclimatization to gain altitude, planning for forthcoming trips and getting habituated to your trekking destinations. To acclimatize, you visit Khunde Hospital which was set up by Sir Edmund Hillary, Everest view Hotel for sunset views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and AMA Dab-lam. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3,860 m) - 5 hrs

The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains. We’ll have trekked to an altitude of 3,860 m upon reaching Tengboche. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or in the morning depending on how the trekking goes this day. Overnight at a Lodge.

Day 7: Tengboche trek to Khumjung: walking distance 4-5 hours

Retrace the journey back to Shanasha, from Shanasha where the trail from Khumjung, Gokyo and to Namche meets. Trekking up for about 2 hours and then leveling off until we reach the village of Khumjung. Heading to Khumjung the largest settlement of Khumbu Valley is one of the oldest and largest Sherpa settlements in the Khumbu region (Everest region). The village is the seat of Khumjung village development committee which includes Khunde, Khumjung, Tyangboche, Pangboche, Pheriche, Dole, Machhermo, Lobuche, Dingboche, Gokyo and some small town, the valley is surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kongde and Thamserku. We can take a take a short hike up to the monastery to view the yeti “scalp” at the Khumjung monastery. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 8: Khumjung trekking down to Phakding (2,652m): walking distance 5 hours

It is easy working with absorb the magnificent views of surroundings, after Namche Bazaar the trail descent steeply back to Dudh Koshi River. The trail is easier now as we are losing altitude, and we can enjoy a gentle walk on the trail Jorsalle. We will work though the forest of magnolia, giant firs and rhododendrons with the view of distance snow covered peak before arriving Phakding. Phakding is a crowed place but better for your overnight settlement. Spent your night at one of the good lodges here, enjoying the local tradition and culture. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 9: Phakding trekking back to Lukla (2,850): walking distance 3-4 hours

It will be just a 3 hrs easy and gentle trail back to Lukla. The trail drops steeply and runs level through out the day.Enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village arrival in Lukla. You’ll have time to stroll around the local areas. In the evening you can enjoy a typical Nepalese dinner and cultural show. Overnight in hotel.

Day 10: Fly Back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Early in the morning, we will take a flight to return back to Kathmandu. After that, we will transfer to our hotel in Kathmandu. Rest of the day you can explore around Kathmandu if any remaining or you may go for shopping. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11: Depart from Kathmandu

After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take to the airport for your flight home. Or if you want to stay longer for short tours i.e. National parks, rafting, and mountain biking, hiking, etc. do not forget to ask us.
